Nati per leggere - Born to read

The “National Born to Read Award" aims to support the best editorial production for preschoolers, recognizing the creativity and commitment of active local project operators. The award intends to focus both on the editorial production and the quality of children's books, from 0 to 3 years, and to reward the most vivid and meaningful expressions of the project.

We created a web application that allows to manage the competition via the web; it can be accessed by three type of users: participants, jury members and organization. Accessing the prize page on www.natiperleggere.it, participants submit their candidacy by registering in one of the three award sections and sending the texts chosen for the competition.

The jury members are given access credential to login on the website and download the texts to be evaluated. Organizers access an administrator dashboard to manage participants data and jury members. The backend also allows organizers to follow the competition evolution step by step.

Every child has the right to be protected not only by illness and violence but also by the lack of adequate opportunities for affective and cognitive development. This is the mission of Born to Read. Since 1999, the program aims to promote family reading from birth.
