Io leggo con te

"Io leggo con te" is the project of CEPELL - Centro per il Libro e la Lettura - (a ministerial centre for the promotion of books and reading) - born with the aim of defining a training course that allows teachers to deepen skills and knowledge about youth literature and training for young readers. To support the project in 2019 it was created the website ioleggoconte.it, a thematic portal dedicated to readers aged 0 to 20 years divided by age group, with a view to the new generations and new languages.

We have created the logo of Io leggo con te with the young target audience in mind and mix playful elements (inclined font, colours) with regular geometric shapes. The result is an easily recognizable logo, which conveys empathy to those who see it and that can easily be placed on various supports designed to promote the initiative, from stickers to bookmarks to flyers.

The graphic design of the portal takes up the same idea as the logo, with curved and straight lines that blend in harmony; during the design, we placed the emphasis on the usability of the content, with immediate navigation in the various sections of the site as requested by the younger generations. The site is developed to be visible on all screens, especially on smartphones and tablets used by children and teenagers.

For reading advice, a mini-catalogue of the books proposed has been created with the respective in-depth card, the possibility of sharing the advice on social issues or via e-mail to a friend and the division of books by age group, which can also be selected through the appropriate search filter.
